Camera repair: Tell the shop whether it is the lens glass (cheap and quick) or the camera module (blurry focus, black screen, shaking) that is damaged. Test autofocus, every lens and video stabilisation after the repair.
Before you go
- Back up your phone (iCloud, Google One or a computer) and note your passcode; some repairs need a reset or a test unlock.
- Ask for a written quote that names the part grade (original, refurbished original or compatible) and the warranty period.
- Test the phone in the shop: touch, cameras, speakers, microphone, charging, Wi-Fi, mobile data and biometrics.
