iPhone 18 Pro Max Price and Review Singapore
By Jon Ng, AI Chief at Novatise · Updated
Here's the choice most Singapore buyers face this month. Pay Apple S$2,099 for the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro Max[1], or take it home from M1 for nothing upfront and S$68.95 a month for three years[7]. Then there's the S$200 question: is it worth that much more than the iPhone 18 Pro? Reviewers keep giving one answer, which is battery life. It went on sale here on 18 September 2026[5].
How this article was put together: We haven't tested this phone ourselves. This review brings together published reviews, official specs and Singapore pricing and repair data. Prices were checked on 21 Oct 2026.
How much is the iPhone 18 Pro Max in Singapore?
Apple Singapore sells the iPhone 18 Pro Max for S$2,099 (256GB), S$2,399 (512GB), S$2,999 (1TB) and S$3,899 (2TB), including GST, as checked on 21 October 2026. On a telco plan, M1 offers it for S$0 upfront at S$68.95 a month over 36 months for new and port-in customers.

The verdict first
Buy it if you're on an iPhone 16 Pro, 15 Pro or anything older and you want the iPhone with the longest battery life. HardwareZone's Kenny Yeo, who used it as his everyday phone, told owners of a 16 Pro or older to upgrade "without hesitation"[12].
Skip it if you bought an iPhone 17 Pro Max last year. HardwareZone and TechRadar both say you can hold off[12][13], and How-To Geek's headline sums up the generation gap: it's "basically an iPhone 17 Pro Max, but that's fine"[15].
Get the 18 Pro instead if 249g sounds like a lot. It's the same chip and the same three cameras for S$200 less, and 38g lighter[2].
And don't buy the 2TB. The jump from 1TB costs S$900. Red White Mobile's buy-back list shows a used 2TB unit worth 68% of its price today, while the other three sizes hold about 82% (details below).
iPhone 18 Pro Max price in Singapore
Apple Singapore lists four storage sizes in Black, Silver, Glacier and Burgundy, with a limit of two units per customer[1]. Prices include GST.
| Storage | Apple SG price | Cost of the step up | iPhone 18 Pro, same storage |
|---|---|---|---|
| 256GB | S$2,099 | – | S$1,899 |
| 512GB | S$2,399 | +S$300 for 256GB more (S$1.17/GB) | S$2,199 |
| 1TB | S$2,999 | +S$600 for 512GB more (S$1.17/GB) | S$2,799 |
| 2TB | S$3,899 | +S$900 for 1TB more (S$0.88/GB) | S$3,699 |
Step-up costs and per-GB figures are our own sums from Apple's prices[1].
Per GB, 2TB looks like the best deal. Resale says otherwise. HardwareZone notes it also costs S$800 more than the 2TB iPhone 17 Pro Max did at launch (S$3,099)[5].
Unlike the Duo, the Singapore Pro Max keeps a nano-SIM slot alongside eSIM[2].
Outside Apple, Harvey Norman lists the 256GB Burgundy at the same S$2,099, or 12 interest-free payments of S$174.92. On 21 Oct 2026 the page said it was out of stock both online and in-store[10]. Courts and Challenger prices: unknown, as we couldn't confirm them online that day.
Telco plans: the total you actually pay
Upfront prices mislead, so we multiplied each 256GB deal out. M1's figures, and the upfront prices for Singtel Priority L and StarHub Platinum, were checked on the telcos' own pages; the rest come from HardwareZone's comparison, updated 16 October[6].
| Telco and plan | Upfront | Monthly | Term | Total (our sum) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| M1 Bespoke Flexi 600GB (new line or port-in)[7] | S$0 | S$68.95 | 36 months | S$2,482.20 |
| M1 Bespoke Contract 50GB[7] | S$1,219 | S$62.95 | 24 months | S$2,729.80 |
| Singtel Enhanced XS[6] | S$1,350 | S$62 | 24 months | S$2,838 |
| Singtel 5G+ Priority L[8] | S$760 | S$128 | 24 months | S$3,832 |
| StarHub Unlimited+ Plus, 36-month pay later[6] | S$1,439 | S$48 | 36 months | S$3,167 |
| StarHub Platinum, 36-month pay later[9] | S$0 | S$128 | 36 months | S$4,608 |
Totals are upfront plus monthly × term, ignoring trade-ins and vouchers. StarHub's pay-later figures already include DeviceDollars and port-in discounts[9], so treat those rows as estimates; on 24-month pay later, Platinum shows S$389 upfront.
M1 Flexi wins on paper: S$2,482.20 over three years for the phone and a 600GB plan, only S$383.20 more than the phone alone. Existing M1 customers pay S$82.95 a month[6], or S$2,986.20.
Singtel promotes its S$760 Priority L deal[8], but that's S$3,832 over two years. Only worth it if you'd use the roaming anyway.
What it's worth once you've bought it
Red White Mobile (featured shop) at North Bridge Centre doesn't list the iPhone 18 Pro Max for sale on its website, so we can't quote a selling price there. Its trade-in page does publish what it pays for one[11]:
| Storage | Apple SG price | Sealed, not activated | Used | Used value as share of price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 256GB | S$2,099 | S$1,920 | S$1,720 | 82% |
| 512GB | S$2,399 | S$2,300 | S$1,970 | 82% |
| 1TB | S$2,999 | S$2,750 | S$2,450 | 82% |
| 2TB | S$3,899 | S$2,950 | S$2,650 | 68% |
Red White Mobile (featured shop), prices seen 21 Oct 2026. These are buy-back prices, not selling prices. Sealed 256GB Silver is listed at S$1,970. Opened sets lose S$50, activated ones S$100, and prices can change.
A month after launch, used 256GB to 1TB units fetch about 82% of Apple's price. The 2TB fetches 68%: S$1,249 gone in four weeks. Second-hand buyers won't pay Apple's storage premium.
What reviewers say after a month
Battery: the reason this phone exists
Apple rates the Pro Max at up to 29 hours of typical use and 43 hours of video playback. The 18 Pro gets 23 and 34[2].
- HardwareZone's video-loop test ran 811 minutes, about 13.5 hours. That beats the 18 Pro (685) and last year's 17 Pro Max (688). In a week of real use, Yeo went from 6am to 2am the next day and still had 20% left[12].
- TechRadar's lab test lasted 18 hours 27 minutes, against 16 hours 17 minutes for the 18 Pro[13].
- The Guardian's Samuel Gibbs got almost three days of light use, about four hours longer than its predecessor managed. Heavy days still ended with around half the battery left[14].
HardwareZone cites EU filings showing a battery about 11.8% larger than last year's[12]. The Guardian measured 80% charge in 32 minutes, but only with a 60W USB-C PD 3.1 adapter, which isn't in the box[14].

Weight: 249 grams, and reviewers notice
The Pro Max weighs 249g, against 211g for the 18 Pro[2]. Gibbs wrote that it made his hand hurt after 10 days, and that it really needs a grip, lanyard or strap[14]. If you strap-hang on a packed Circle Line train every morning, that matters. Small consolation: HardwareZone says iPhone 17 Pro Max cases fit[12].

Cameras: better controls, same weak ultra-wide
The headline change is a main camera with variable aperture, from f/1.48 to f/4, plus manual "Pro controls" in the Camera app[2]. HardwareZone liked the controls more than the aperture. It says the variable aperture "matters less than you think" and rates the Pro controls and updated Photographic Styles as the more useful upgrades[12]. How-To Geek notes the Camera Control button can't adjust the aperture[15].
The Verge, reviewing the 18 Pro (same cameras), reports that a manual shutter speed captures a single frame, so you lose some dynamic range; Apple confirmed this[16]. HardwareZone still calls the 48MP ultra-wide the weak link, soft at the corners. Its 8x telephoto shot was clearly less sharp than the 4x one[12].
Performance and heat
HardwareZone measured about 25% more CPU and 40% more GPU performance than the A19 Pro, and in a 30-minute stress test it held steady for longer than last year's Pro Max[12]. TechRadar says it runs noticeably cooler, but feels "largely neck and neck" with the A19 Pro day to day[13].
Siri AI: reviewers split
HardwareZone calls it "a huge step forward"[12]; How-To Geek says it isn't reliable yet, and notes it also runs on older iPhones with Apple Intelligence[15]. Not a reason to pick this model.
18 Pro Max or 18 Pro: what the extra S$200 buys

The S$200 buys a bigger screen and six more rated hours, and costs 38g plus S$80 per screen repair. Samsung Singapore lists the Galaxy S26 Ultra 256GB at S$2,028[17]. Weighing a foldable? Our iPhone Duo price and review explains what the extra S$1,000 gets you.
Repair costs in Singapore
These are Apple's own out-of-warranty estimates for the iPhone 18 Pro Max, from its Singapore repair-cost tool on 21 Oct 2026[3]. Apple says they are subject to tax (GST here) and the final price is set after inspection.
| Repair | Out of warranty | With AppleCare+ | Share of the 256GB price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Battery service | S$189 | S$0* | 9% |
| Back glass | S$225 | S$42 | 11% |
| Rear camera | S$385 | not listed | 18% |
| Screen | S$575 | S$42 | 27% |
| Screen and back glass together | S$699 | not listed | 33% |
| Other damage | S$1,339 | S$148 | 64% |
*AppleCare+ covers battery service only when capacity drops below 80%[4]. "Share of price" is our own sum against S$2,099.
AppleCare+ costs S$339 for two years if you pay in full[1]. Do the maths for one cracked screen: S$339 plus the S$42 fee is S$381, against S$575 without cover, so you save S$194. A cracked back alone goes the other way, since S$381 is more than the S$225 repair. The free battery perk is weak too: the Guardian reports 80% capacity should last over 1,000 full charges[14].
Our view: unlike the Duo, AppleCare+ is a judgement call on this phone. If you've cracked a screen on either of your last two phones, buy it. If you use a case and never have, keep the S$339.
