iPhone Duo Price and Review Singapore
By Jon Ng, AI Chief at Novatise · Updated
The iPhone Duo costs S$3,099 to S$4,899 in Singapore[1], which makes it the most expensive iPhone Apple has ever sold here. Pre-orders opened on 16 October and it goes on sale on Friday, 23 October 2026[3]. Short version: it's the first foldable that feels like an iPhone rather than an experiment, but you pay about S$1,000 more than an iPhone 18 Pro Max for a screen that folds, a camera with no telephoto, and repair bills that can top S$1,500.

How this review was made: we haven't tested this phone ourselves. This review brings together published reviews, official specs and Singapore pricing and repair data, all cited below. Where reviewers disagree, we say so.

iPhone Duo price in Singapore
Apple Singapore lists four storage tiers, with no 128GB model. We checked every price on apple.com/sg on 21 Oct 2026[1]. They include GST and match the launch prices HardwareZone reported in September[3].
| Storage | Apple SG price | Price per GB | Premium over 18 Pro Max, same storage |
|---|---|---|---|
| 256GB | S$3,099 | S$12.11 | S$1,000 |
| 512GB | S$3,399 | S$6.64 | S$1,000 |
| 1TB | S$3,999 | S$3.91 | S$1,000 |
| 2TB | S$4,899 | S$2.39 | S$1,000 |
Price per GB and the premium over the Pro Max are our own sums, using Apple SG prices for the iPhone 18 Pro Max (S$2,099 / S$2,399 / S$2,999 / S$3,899)[12].
The gap to the Pro Max is a flat S$1,000 at every tier. That makes the storage choice simpler than it looks. The 512GB model adds S$300 for double the space, the cheapest upgrade step Apple offers here. The 1TB step adds S$600. The 2TB step adds S$900, and almost nobody without a huge video library needs it.
Two practical points before you check out. The Duo is eSIM only, with no SIM tray. Apple also limits pre-orders to two units per customer[1]. If you still swap physical SIMs when you fly to KL or Bangkok, set up a travel eSIM first.
Telco prices: Singtel, StarHub and M1
All three telcos carry the Duo. According to HardwareZone's roundup and M1's own page, the cheapest no-upfront route is M1 Bespoke Flexi 600GB: S$0 upfront, then S$96.95 a month over 36 months for the 256GB model, rising to S$146.95 for the 2TB model[4][5].
| Telco and plan | Upfront | Monthly | Term |
|---|---|---|---|
| M1 Bespoke Flexi 600GB (port-in) | S$0 | S$96.95 (phone + plan) | 36 months |
| Singtel Enhanced XS | S$2,260 | S$62 | 24 months |
| Singtel Priority Fam | S$240 | S$288 | 24 months |
| StarHub (BNPL plans) | from S$2,439 | from S$48 | 36 months |
Do the multiplication before you sign. Singtel's Enhanced XS works out to S$2,260 + 24 × S$62 = S$3,748 over two years, and that includes a plan you'd be paying for anyway. M1's figure over 36 months is S$3,490 for phone and plan together. On paper that's the better deal, as long as you're happy to stay three years. Also, LittleBigRedDot reported on 17 October that Singtel and StarHub's pre-order allocations were already fully reserved[15], so launch-day walk-ins may be a gamble.
Shop prices: Red White Mobile and Sim Lim
Red White Mobile (featured shop) at North Bridge Centre does not list the iPhone Duo for sale on its website as of 21 Oct 2026, so we can't quote a selling price. Its trade-in page does publish what it will pay for sealed, non-activated units, with buying set to open at 9am on 23 October: S$3,420 for 256GB, S$3,720 for 512GB, S$4,320 for 1TB and S$5,170 for 2TB[14]. (Red White Mobile (featured shop), prices seen 21 Oct 2026; buy-back prices, not selling prices.)
That buy-back price is above Apple's S$3,099 RRP. It's a fair signal of how tight launch stock is, both here and for the export trade. It also tells you a sealed Duo will hold its value for the first few weeks. Expect grey-market prices to settle once supply catches up, as they did with the iPhone 18 Pro.
Where to buy the iPhone Duo in Singapore
- Apple Store and apple.com/sg: the RRP above, free delivery, Personal Setup sessions and Apple's standard returns policy[1].
- Singtel, StarHub and M1: best if you want instalments or are re-contracting anyway[4].
- Authorised resellers such as Courts, Challenger and Harvey Norman usually carry new iPhones at or near RRP. Check stock first, because launch allocations are small.
- Independent shops at North Bridge Centre, Sim Lim Square and Far East Plaza: grey and local sets, with the price set by the shop. Always ask whether a set is a local unit with Apple's Singapore warranty, and get it on the receipt.
Specs that matter
All figures come from Apple[1][2]. The comparison is our own, against the two phones most Duo shoppers are also looking at.
| iPhone Duo | iPhone 18 Pro Max | |
|---|---|---|
| SG starting price | S$3,099 | S$2,099 |
| Main screen | 7.6" folding, nano-texture | 6.9" |
| Cover screen | 5.4" | None |
| Chip | A20 Pro | A20 Pro |
| Rear cameras | 48MP main + 48MP ultra wide | 48MP main, ultra wide and telephoto |
| Optical zoom options | 0.5x, 1x, 2x | 0.5x, 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x |
| Front camera | 12MP, under the inner display | 18MP |
| Video playback (Apple claim) | 31 h inner / 44 h outer | 43 h |

| SIM | eSIM only | Not eSIM-only in Singapore |
The other obvious rival is Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold8, from S$2,498 (or S$2,798 for the Fold8 Ultra)[13]. That's S$300–600 less than the Duo for a foldable that is already in its eighth generation.

What reviewers say so far
A caveat first. As of 21 Oct 2026 the phone isn't on sale, and the published coverage is mostly hands-on impressions from Apple's September event plus a few early-unit videos. Full long-term reviews haven't appeared yet. Here is what's been reported.
The crease: mostly hidden, not gone
This is where the Duo gets the most praise. TechRadar's Lance Ulanoff wrote that he could feel the crease "but cannot see it," and credited Apple's nano-texture coating for scattering light over the fold[8]. MacRumors was more measured. The crease is "still there, but barely": visible in certain lighting, though better hidden than on Samsung's foldables[9]. Notebookcheck, working from an early customer video, found the screen noticeably soft above the hinge, with the crease easier to see and feel when a finger runs across it[10].
All three point the same way, and they all add the same footnote: nobody yet knows how the fold looks after a year of opening and closing.
The hinge and durability
Apple says the hinge uses more than 100 components, plus a magnet array for a firm close, and wraps it all in grade 5 titanium with an IP68 rating[2]. Macworld's take is blunter: the hinge is "an obvious point of weakness, and potentially failure, for every folding device," and Apple is "asking customers to take a leap of faith" on a first-generation design[11]. That's fair. Look at the repair prices below before you treat it as a phone you'll keep for five years.
Cameras
Here the spec sheet speaks for itself. The Duo has two 48MP cameras, main and ultra wide, and tops out at 2x optical-quality zoom. The 18 Pro Max reaches 8x and has variable aperture[1]. If you shoot concerts at the Indoor Stadium or your kid's sports day from the stands, the Pro Max is the better camera, full stop. The Duo's tricks are elsewhere: Duo Preview lets the person you're photographing see the shot on the cover screen, and the under-display front camera keeps the inner screen clean[2].
Battery
Apple claims up to 24 hours of mixed use, split across two batteries (one in each half)[2]. Playback figures are 31 hours on the inner screen and 44 on the outer. For context, the 18 Pro Max is rated at 43 hours[1]. If you mostly use the big screen, expect less endurance than the Pro Max. We'll update this once independent battery tests are published.

Our verdict
Buy it if the big screen is the point. If you read, edit documents or juggle two apps on the North-South line every morning, a 7.6-inch iPhone that fits in a shirt pocket when closed is something no other iPhone can do. Early hands-on reports suggest Apple has handled the crease better than anyone else.
Skip it if you care about zoom, plan to keep the phone four or five years, or would be upset by a S$1,549 screen bill. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is S$1,000 cheaper, has the better camera and almost the same battery life on paper.
Wait if you can. First-generation hinges are where problems show up, and launch-week pricing in Singapore (see that S$3,420 buy-back quote) suggests demand is ahead of supply. A month or two of real-world reports will tell you more than any hands-on video.
If you do buy at launch, get the 512GB model and AppleCare+. The S$300 storage step is good value, and the AppleCare+ maths below makes the case on its own.
iPhone Duo repair costs in Singapore
Apple's own estimated service fees, reported by HardwareZone on 20 October, are the sobering part of this review[6]:
| Repair | With AppleCare+ | Without | Share of 256GB price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cover layer damage | S$29 | S$69 | 2% |
| Back glass | S$42 | S$279 | 9% |
| Battery | S$0 | S$339 | 11% |
| Rear camera | n/a | S$359 | 12% |
| Outer display | S$42 | S$575 | 19% |
| Inner (folding) display | S$148 | S$1,549 | 50% |
| Other accidental damage | S$148 | S$2,319 | 75% |
"Share of price" is our own calculation against the S$3,099 RRP. Apple says final fees depend on inspection.
AppleCare+ for the Duo costs S$499 for two years[6][7]. One inner-screen accident without it costs S$1,549. With it, the same repair is S$148, so the plan pays for itself the first time the big screen cracks. We rarely say this so flatly, but on this phone AppleCare+ isn't optional.

Can independent shops fix it?
Not yet, realistically. None of the shops in our directory publishes an iPhone Duo price as of 21 Oct 2026. For regular iPhones, the 16 listings that publish screen prices quote between S$35 and S$575, depending on model and part quality. That range tells you nothing about a folding panel, though. For the first months, expect inner-screen jobs to go through Apple or an Apple Authorised Service Provider. Independent shops are more likely to help with cases, cover-layer protectors and, later, batteries and back glass.
