iPhone 17e Price and Review Singapore

By Jon Ng, AI Chief at Novatise · Updated

Apple's cheapest iPhone now costs S$1,099[1]. That's S$150 more than the S$949 it launched at in March[6], and it puts the 17e only S$350 below the iPhone 17[3]. A featured shop at North Bridge Centre lists the same local set for S$928[11], though it was out of stock when we checked. At that price the 17e makes sense. At Apple's price it's a harder sell.

How we put this together: We haven't tested this phone ourselves. This review brings together published reviews, official specs and Singapore pricing and repair data. Every price below was checked on 25 Oct 2026 and links to its source.

How much is the iPhone 17e in Singapore?

Apple Singapore sells the iPhone 17e for S$1,099 (256GB) and S$1,399 (512GB), including GST, as checked on 25 October 2026. Harvey Norman and Challenger charge the same S$1,099 for the 256GB. Red White Mobile at North Bridge Centre lists the 256GB local set at S$928 and the 512GB at S$1,038, both out of stock on the day we checked.

The big retailers all match Apple, so the only real discount on our list is at an independent shop. The rise came in September 2026, when MacRumors reported Apple adding US$100 to the US prices of the iPhone 16, 17e, 17 and Air[10]. Singapore got S$150 on each 17e model, going by HardwareZone's launch prices[6].

The Red White Mobile price

Red White Mobile is a featured shop in our directory. On 25 Oct 2026 its website listed the iPhone 17e 5G 256GB at S$928 in Black and the 512GB at S$1,038 in Pink and Black. Both are local sets with Apple Singapore's one-year warranty, and both were marked out of stock[11][12].

Red White Mobile (featured shop), prices seen on its website on 25 Oct 2026.

The same shop's trade-in page shows what the 17e is worth once you've bought it. It pays S$620 for a used 256GB and S$720 for a used 512GB, or S$880 and S$1,020 for sets still sealed and never activated[13]. A used iPhone 17 256GB fetches S$820 there[13]. So the 17 is older and still sells for S$200 more. If you've been handed a sealed 17e with a plan and wanted something else, S$880 is a useful figure to know.

What S$1,099 leaves out

The 17e shares the A19 chip family with the iPhone 17, but Apple cut it back in ways you'll notice. From Apple's own spec and comparison pages[1][2]:

The 60Hz screen is the gap people mention most. Coming from an older iPhone, you won't miss 120Hz. Coming from any Android phone near this price, you will. The missing ultra-wide matters if you take group photos at a crowded zi char table and can't step back. Red Hot Singapore's republished WIRED review adds that the 17e still has no ultra-wideband chip, which is used for precise AirTag finding[9].

What published reviews say

Battery is the surprise

This is where the 17e does better than its price. The published tests:

The two tests disagree on whether it beats the iPhone 17, and the 60Hz screen probably helps it in GSMArena's mixed-use test. Both agree it lasts a full day. For someone on the Circle Line from Botanic Gardens to Paya Lebar and back with a podcast running, that's the part of the spec sheet that counts.

Speed: close to the 17, except for games

HardwareZone's Geekbench runs put the 17e at 3,512 single-core and 8,845 multi-core, against 3,549 and 9,103 for the iPhone 17. The GPU score was 31,640 against 37,068[7]. That's about 15% less graphics power, by our sum. For WhatsApp, Grab, banking apps and photos you won't feel the difference. For long gaming sessions you might.

Camera: one lens, one weakness

HardwareZone liked the main camera in daylight. Its complaint is low light: photos get noisier, especially at 2x, and the 17e doesn't get Apple's newer Photographic Styles[7]. WIRED, via Red Hot Singapore, called the single rear camera limiting[9]. Expect good photos of hawker food at lunch and grainier ones at a dim bar on Club Street.

Screen brightness

GSMArena measured a maximum of 814 nits[8], close to Apple's 800-nit typical figure. That's fine for most outdoor use, though it's no match for the brighter screens on Apple's dearer models.

The verdicts

HardwareZone's headline called it an excellent entry-level iPhone with one problem, and that problem is the iPhone 17. Its advice was to get the 17 if you can afford it, because the screen and camera gaps are bigger than the price gap[7]. WIRED's take was friendlier: MagSafe makes a difference, and the 17e is a respectable choice if you want a new iPhone[9]. Both reviews came out before the September price rise, when the gap to the 17 was the same S$350 but the 17e started at S$949.

Singtel plan or SIM-only?

Singtel's comparison page uses a S$40 a month SIM-only plan as its baseline[17], so we did too. Apple's 256GB plus 24 months at S$40 comes to S$2,059. The 512GB comes to S$2,359.

One catch: when we checked, Singtel's 17e page showed the 256GB as out of stock, and it didn't make clear which storage the plan prices below are for[16]. We've compared them against both.

iPhone 17e on Singtel 24-month plans vs Apple plus S$40 SIM-only (checked 25 Oct 2026)

Totals are upfront plus 24 monthly payments, before port-in savings, cashback or trade-ins. Plans differ in data and roaming allowances. Confirm the storage at checkout.

If those prices are for the 256GB, no Singtel plan beats buying outright. If they're for the 512GB, Enhanced XS saves S$161 and everything bigger still costs more. Buying from Red White Mobile at S$928 with the same SIM-only plan comes to S$1,888, the lowest figure in this article.

M1 lists the iPhone 17e at S$0 upfront and S$66.95 a month with a plan[18]. The listing doesn't state the term or the storage, so the total is unknown. StarHub's $0 upfront device page didn't list the 17e when we checked[19], so we don't have a StarHub price.

The cheapest iPhone to fix

Apple's Singapore repair tool gave these out-of-warranty estimates on 25 Oct 2026[4]. Apple says the estimates are subject to tax, so we've added 9% GST to the 17e column.

Estimates before tax, from Apple Support's repair-cost tool[4]. Final prices are set after inspection.

A cracked screen costs S$150 less to fix on the 17e than on the 17 Apple's "other damage" estimate is S$220 less. Batteries and back glass cost the same on both.

Is AppleCare+ worth S$199?

Apple charges S$199 for AppleCare+ on the 17e, paid in full[1]. The service fees for the 17e are S$42 for screen or back glass damage and S$148 for other accidental damage. A battery below 80% health is replaced at no charge[4][5].

It's a closer call than on dearer iPhones, because the 17e's repairs are cheaper to begin with. If you've broken a screen before, buy it. If you've never cracked a phone and use a case, keep the S$199.

Hitec Mobile

Bugis Junction · iPhone 17e: battery (original) S$129, screen (Grade A) S$128, front glass only S$68, charging port S$63[20]

Lite Mobile - Boon Keng

Bendemeer Ville · iPhone 17e: screen (OLED quality) S$90[21]

Mobile Time

Aljunied Mrt Station (Ew9) · iPhone 17e: screen S$345 original or S$158 OLED[22]

The Hitec Mobile original battery at S$129 is about S$29 under Apple's price with GST. Mobile Time's original screen at S$345 matches Apple's pre-GST estimate, so for an original screen Apple is the obvious choice. The cheaper OLED screens (S$90 to S$158) are aftermarket parts. Should you buy the iPhone 17e?

Coming from an iPhone 16e, there's little reason to upgrade. Coming from anything older than an iPhone 13, the battery alone makes it worth it.
