Samsung Galaxy S26 Price and Review Singapore

By Jon Ng, AI Chief at Novatise · Updated

Small Android flagships have nearly disappeared, and the Galaxy S26 is the one most people still recommend if your phone has to fit in a shirt pocket. It's 6.3 inches, 167g and 7.2mm thick[13]. The problem is the price: Samsung Singapore now charges S$1,588 for the 256GB[1], S$150 more than at launch[3]. On 26 Oct 2026 Harvey Norman had it at S$1,288[4], and Red White Mobile, a featured shop, listed it at S$948 but out of stock[5].

How we put this together: We haven't tested this phone ourselves. This review brings together published reviews, official specs and Singapore pricing and repair data. Prices were checked on 26 Oct 2026.

How much is the Samsung Galaxy S26 in Singapore?

On 26 October 2026 Samsung Singapore listed the Galaxy S26 at S$1,588 (12GB/256GB) and S$1,888 (12GB/512GB), including GST. It launched on 11 March 2026 at S$1,438 and S$1,738. Harvey Norman's limited-time prices were S$1,288 and S$1,588, and Red White Mobile at North Bridge Centre listed the 256GB at S$948, marked out of stock.

Who the S26 is actually for

Most reviewers come back to size. The Guardian's Samuel Gibbs calls it "one of the best smaller handsets available" and "the last truly compact flagship Android left"[19]. The Verge's Dominic Preston points out that "at 167g and 7.2mm, it's lighter and thinner than the iPhone 17"[17]. HardwareZone's Cheryl Tan puts it plainly: if you want a compact flagship, "there's really not much choice other than the Galaxy S26"[12].

If size isn't the reason you're looking, the case gets weaker fast. GSMArena calls it a "flagship underdog" and says "there are better value smartphones out there at the same price point"[15]. Keep that in mind when you look at Samsung's own price tag.

S26, S26+ or Ultra: the top-up maths

Samsung's line-up has four phones a few hundred dollars apart, and the gaps change depending on where you buy. Here's the 256GB of each:

Galaxy S26 family, 256GB, checked 26 Oct 2026 (gap to the S26 in brackets)
ModelSamsung SingaporeRed White Mobile (featured shop)
Galaxy S26 FES$1,168 (−S$420)S$768 (−S$180)
Galaxy S26S$1,588S$948
Galaxy S26+S$1,778 (+S$190)S$1,048 (+S$100)
Galaxy S26 UltraS$2,028 (+S$440)S$1,188 (+S$240)

Samsung prices from its S26[1] and S26 Ultra[2] buy pages; Red White Mobile prices from its new-phone list[6]. Red White Mobile's S26 listing was marked out of stock[5].

At Samsung's prices, the S26+ costs S$190 more and the Ultra S$440 more. At Red White Mobile those gaps shrink to S$100 and S$240. That's why HardwareZone's advice to "top up a bit" if you can, and get the Ultra, makes more sense at shop prices than at Samsung's[12]. Harvey Norman's offer tells the same story at 512GB: S$1,588 for the S26 against S$1,678 for the S26+, a S$90 gap[4].

Going the other way, the S26 FE was S$1,168 at Samsung and S$768 at Red White Mobile[1][6]. You give up the flagship chip and the small body, so it's not a like-for-like swap. If you can stretch to an Ultra, read our Galaxy S26 Ultra review.

What you get for the money

Samsung's online store also sells two extra colours, Pink Gold and Silver Shadow, on top of Cobalt Violet, Black, Sky Blue and White[3]. On 26 Oct 2026 the 512GB in Cobalt Violet and Sky Blue was out of stock there[1].

Battery and the Exynos question

A bigger battery and a new 2nm chip should have meant longer battery life. The testers didn't really find that. GSMArena gave it an Active Use Score of 15:20h, level with the iPhone 17 Pro and behind the Xiaomi 17 and vivo X300[14]. HardwareZone found the extra capacity didn't translate into a phone that lasts noticeably longer between charges[12].

Engadget's Mat Smith ran his video test on both chips: the Exynos model lasted almost 28 hours, the Snapdragon one nearly 30. He calls the shorter battery life "a disappointing discovery from Samsung's first 2nm chip"[18]. In Singapore you get the Exynos version, so that's the figure to expect.

Charging is still 25W wired and 15W wireless[12]. Qi2 works, but there are no magnets in the phone, so you'll need a magnetic case for those accessories[14]. It is a bit quicker than last year:

Galaxy S26 charging times, as published
TestGalaxy S26Galaxy S25
GSMArena, 15 minutes[14][16]34%28%
GSMArena, 30 minutes[14][16]62%56%
GSMArena, full charge[14][16]64 min77 min
HardwareZone, 50% / full[12]38 min / 81 minnot tested in this review

Different chargers and methods, so compare within each row only.

GSMArena still lists slow charging among the cons, noting that Samsung's own mid-range A57 gets 45W[15]. TechRadar's Jason Cipriani also found 25W too slow and says the phone gets hot[20].

Should you just buy an S25 instead?

This is the question most reviews end on. Engadget says the S25 gives "an experience that's 99 percent the same"[18]. GSMArena's head-to-head concludes that "the Galaxy S25 just feels like the more sensible pick"[16]. The Verge goes further: "there's no reason to upgrade whether you own an S25, an S24, or even an S23"[17].

TechRadar's conclusion is the most practical: "you should only buy it when it's on sale"[20]. On the numbers above, that sale is already here if you shop outside Samsung's store.

Telco contracts: what the line really costs

If you're recontracting anyway, here's what 24-month bundles on WhistleOut add up to[8][9]:

Galaxy S26 on 24-month contracts, checked 26 Oct 2026 (totals are our sums)
PlanMonthly256GB upfront256GB total512GB upfront512GB total
Singtel Enhanced XS (80GB)S$62S$520S$2,008S$700S$2,188
M1 Bespoke 50GB (50GB)S$62.95S$543S$2,053.80S$805S$2,315.80
Singtel Enhanced SS$78S$340S$2,212S$530S$2,402

Singtel Enhanced MS$98S$100S$2,452S$300S$2,652

From WhistleOut's Singapore listings, both updated 26 October 2026. Confirm with the telco before signing. StarHub's plan details didn't load cleanly on WhistleOut; its lowest price was listed as S$87.91 a month for the 256GB and S$100.41 for the 512GB[8][9].

Take the cheapest one. Singtel's Enhanced XS works out to S$2,008 for the 256GB. Take away Samsung's S$1,588 for the phone and the line itself costs S$420, or S$17.50 a month for 80GB. Measured against Harvey Norman's S$1,288, the line costs S$720, or S$30 a month. That's not a bargain.

Paying for the phone in instalments is a different deal. M1's Bespoke Flexi spreads the 256GB over 36 months at S$34 a month, S$1,224 in total, with a plan from S$39.95. Singtel PayLater charges S$66.16 a month for 24 months (S$1,587.84), with its Enhanced Core SIM-only plan at S$55[8]. On M1, the phone works out cheaper than Harvey Norman's offer, but you're tied to M1 for three years.

Red White Mobile (featured shop)

Red White Mobile at North Bridge Centre sells local sets with Samsung Singapore's one-year warranty[5]:

Red White Mobile is a featured shop on this site. Prices as seen on its website on 26 Oct 2026. It's at 420 North Bridge Road, #01-20, open 11am to 9.30pm daily; call 6735 4811 or WhatsApp 8668 4811 to check stock first.

Courts and Challenger: unknown. Neither had the standard S26 listed when we checked on 26 Oct 2026.

What it's worth when you sell it

Red White Mobile's buy-back list pays S$700 for a used 256GB S26 and S$850 for a sealed one. The 512GB fetches S$800 used and S$1,000 sealed[7]. For comparison it offers S$550 for a used 256GB S25 and S$400 for a used 256GB S24.

So a 256GB bought at S$948 and sold back used at S$700 has cost you S$248. Bought at Samsung's S$1,588, the same phone has cost you S$888. The 512GB only gets you S$100 more on resale, so buy it for the space, not the resale value.

Repairs: Care+ against paying as you go

Samsung Care+ for the Galaxy S26 series comes in three tiers[10]:

Samsung Care+ for Galaxy S26 series, checked 26 Oct 2026
Plan12 months24 monthsMonthly
Care+ PremiumS$168S$268S$12.90
Care+S$98S$168S$8.90
Care+ LiteS$58unknownunknown

On top of the plan, a screen repair carries a S$50 service fee, and Premium covers unlimited screen repairs. Other accidental damage costs S$150 a claim[10]. Samsung's own out-of-warranty screen price for the S26: unknown, as we couldn't confirm it on 26 Oct 2026.

Independent shops are already pricing the S26. Lite Mobile at Boon Keng lists these on its website[11]:

The page doesn't say whether the screen is an original Samsung part. Ask before you hand the phone over.

The same list puts the S25 display at S$155, S$30 less[11]. One display replacement at S$185 costs about the same as a year of Care+ Premium (S$168) plus its S$50 fee, so Care+ is mostly worth it if you think you'll break a screen more than once. Our take, by what you have now

S25, S24 or S23

Keep it. Every review we read says the changes are small, and the S25 trades in for only S$550 at Red White Mobile.

S22 or older, or a small iPhone

Worth it for the size, seven years of updates and the brighter screen, but only at shop prices. If you're comparing with Apple, see our iPhone 17 and iPhone 17e reviews.

Size doesn't matter to you

The Ultra at about S$1,188 from a shop is S$240 more and has the better battery and cameras.

Our pick: the 256GB from a shop below S$1,000 if you can find stock, or Harvey Norman's S$1,288 if you can't. Paying Samsung S$1,588 is hard to justify when the same phone is S$300 cheaper a few streets away.
